COST

per person - DOUBLE OCCUPANCY ONLY - no single rooms

(includes cruise, conference registration, 9 professional development hours, 2 parties, swag bag, drink package, internet package, taxes/fees, gratuities).

Cruise cost will range from $900 per person to $1050 per person depending on the type of room you reserve. If you bring a non-SLP roommate cost will be slightly less.

FAQ

  1. When can we register? We will have the website open for registration in late October 2022. Follow us on Instagram @bjoremspeech for registration announcements or check back here. We will be updating this section frequently.
  2. Is it a REAL cruise? YES, on a real boat in the big ocean! 
  3. Do I need a passport? YES, Travelers are strongly recommended to be in possession of a valid passport with an expiration date of
    no less than six (6) months following the conclusion of the cruise.
  4. Can I bring my baby? Infants sailing on a cruise must be at least 6 months old as of the first day of the cruise and/or CruiseTour. HOWEVER: For transatlantic, transpacific, Hawaii, select South American and other selected cruises and/or CruiseTours, the infant must be at least 12 months old as of the first day of the cruise/CruiseTour. For the purposes of this policy, any cruise that has 3 or more days consecutive at sea will require infants to be 12 months old on the first day of the cruise/CruiseTour.
  5. What cruise line and boat will we be on? Royal Caribbean -  The Liberty of the Seas
  6. What kind of rooms will we have to choose from? Interior, Ocean View, and Balcony. 
  7. How many SLPs are allowed at the convention? We are capping the number at 280. We are expecting to sell out quickly so be prepared to grab your spot. We want to keep the group manageable for our first cruise. Every person will be able to attend every presentation. 
  8. Can SLPAs attend? Yes absolutely!
  9. What is the refund policy? We will have more information on this in the next week.
  10. Do I have to be vaccinated to go on the cruise? No. At this time vaccines are not required to cruise. **Following cruise and CDC updates is a good idea.
  11. What does the payment plan look like? We anticipate you will have a year to make payments, but we will have more information on this next week. 
  12. What is the cruise fee? We will have more details next week. 
  13. Are flights included? No, you will need to book your flights independently, we suggest you arrive the day before the cruise departs so that there is no chance you miss the sail time. 
  14. Can I get a room by myself? Sure, but you have to pay for 2 people. The rooms are double occupancy only!
  15. Can we get handicap accessible rooms? When you make your reservation, talk to our cruise representative and they can help you book this room.
  16. Do I have to register separately for the conference? The conference fee will be included in the price of the cruise. WooHoo!
  17. What if I am bringing a non-SLP guest? The non-SLP guest does not need to register for the conference, however they will pay a required social fee of $25.
  18. Can I book my cabin through Royal Caribbean directly or a 3rd party? No, you must book through our site in order to attend. 
  19. What is included in the price: the cruise, WiFi, all inclusive drink package (alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages), taxes, fees, gratuities, conference/professional development, swag bag...not to mention a mental health break! 
  20. How do I get my CEUs? At this time the cruise has not been approved for ASHA CEUs. We are working to obtain approval and will provide more information as it becomes available. 
  21. How many professional development hours are offered? 10 hours of professional development.
